The Canadian Olympic Committee, Canadian Paralympic Committee and Canadian Olympic Foundation celebrated the 10 year anniversary of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games on Saturday, with a remarkable gala event featuring athletes and speakers who shared their memories of the Vancouver Games.
With our heritage as an agency a legacy of Vancouver 2010, Chief Operating Partner Bill Cooper reflected on the milestone and the impact of the Games for Canada and the sport community:
“Congratulations to the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Committees for harnessing a remarkable milestone on Saturday night. At TTG Canada, we knew the 10-year anniversary represented a special moment and we have witnessed over and over again over the last 10 years just how powerful the Games legacy has been in Vancouver and Canada, but seeing first-hand the Celebration Gala and Jack Poole Plaza over-flowing with positive energy and a vibrant sense of collaborative spirit was an incredible re-charge of the batteries. With public debate around the world seemingly so stifled by partisanship these days, it is quite glorious to see a community of such incredible leaders reminded of the power of true collaboration. Let’s continue to harness this momentum and elevate our work and our communities.”
