As 2013 comes to a close the team at the TwentyTen Group is incredibly fortunate to be reflecting on a year filled with growth, new partnerships, bold vision and courageous investments.

As individuals we enjoy the great privilege to be a member of a team that inspires trust and motivation, and as a team we enjoy the great fortune of working with an exceptional family of clients and strategic partners. Surrounded by such strength, we are enabled to rise to our aspiration to elevate the potential of sport, culture and community.

This aspiration to elevate potential not only guides our business, but also how we approach life and the many communities we are collectively members of beyond the office.

In 2011 and 2012 we collectively elevated the potential of the communities within which the TwentyTen Group works and operates. And then, in the beginning of 2013, we added a layer that would enable each team member to elevate their respective community as well. Our ‘Elevate Community’ initiative provides financial and vacation day matching resources to amplify each team member’s community impact through donations and/or volunteering.

The initiative was a tremendous success. Our team gave back to their individual communities through gifts of money and time to the following causes to name a few:

  • BC Cancer Foundation
    • Bust a Move for Health
    • 2013 Ride to Conquer Cancer
  • KidSport
  • Movember Foundation
  • Terry Fox Foundation
  • Vancouver Food Bank
  • World Vision – Philippines Disaster Relief
  • Ballet BC
  • British Columbia Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund
  • Ruben’s Shoes
  • Union Gospel Mission
  • CKNW Orphan’s Fund
  • The Neighbourhood Centre

With such good momentum on our side, the team continued elevating community through the holiday season by giving the Gift of Sport through KidSport (providing several seasons of play to kids in the Vancouver and Toronto areas) and by supporting three families through the Union Gospel Mission Christmas Hamper Program in Vancouver and The Neighbourhood Centre Adopt a Family Christmas Program in Toronto.

Our team is made better by the community we work and live in and it is a profoundly energizing feeling to elevate the potential of those communities by giving. As a result we’d like to offer our sincere thanks to these great organizations which make contribution to community so accessible.

Now that’s a wrap on 2013. From our family to yours, Happy Holidays and we wish you all the best in the New Year.
