October 28th, 2011, TORONTO – As the sponsorship agency of record for the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC), the TwentyTen Group is excited to share the news that Marcel Aubut, President of the COC, today announced the renewal of two significant corporate partnerships, RBC and The Bay. “This is an important announcement that demonstrates the increased potential that true partnerships with corporate Canada represent for high performance and amateur sport in Canada,” said Andrea Shaw, Managing Partner and Founder of the TwentyTen Group and agency of record for the COC. The announcement reaffirms RBC’s historic position, as the longest continuous Olympic corporate partner in the world, amounting to an impressive 64 years. The Bay, meanwhile, with this deal continues a long history of being the proud outfitter of the Canadian Team for the Olympic Games, PanAm Games and more recently the Youth Olympic Games.
Marcel Aubut, COC President and his executive team were joined at the partnership announcement by Jim Flaherty, Canadian Minister of Finance, Gordon M. Nixon, President and CEO of RBC, Bonnie Brooks, President and CEO of The Bay, Hudson’s Bay Company, as well as Jeff Bean, three-time Olympic freestyle skier, Rosannagh MacLennan, 2008 Olympian and Pan American gold medalist in trampoline, and Jayna Hefford, triple Olympic gold medalist in ice hockey.
